God with Us - HEALER

Jehovah Rophe means God who Heals. Sometimes we associate healing with the physical, and it is true God is a God of healing that heals our physical body. I can testify of several miraculous healings that the Lord has done in my life, as well as those I've seen God divinely heal their bodies, but Jehovah Rophe can heal more than just the physical. He is also the Healer of or emotional and our spiritual.
Look as David cries out unto the Lord:

Psalm 6:1-3
O LORD, rebuke me not in thine anger, neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure. Have mercy upon me, O LORD; for I am weak: O LORD, heal me; for my bones are vexed.
My soul is also sore vexed: but thou, O LORD, how long?

In this passage we see that David is sick, he is sick physically, emotionally, and spiritually. There are people today in the same position, sick, and in need of God our HEALER!

If you are sick emotionally, call on Jehovah Rophe,
the Bible says "He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds."
Don't go to the psychologist, go to The HEALER!

If you are spiritually sick, call on Jehovah Rophe,
it's not the sinners who are sick, it's the 'saints'. According to the World Christian Encyclopedia, approximately 16 million believers walk out of the Christian church each year and most do not return. It is time to go to The HEALER!

If you are physically sick, call on Jehovah Rophe,
just like the impotent man at the pool, who had been lying there 38 years, there comes a point when enough is enough. Call on The HEALER!

When God sends His Word to heal you, nothing can stop it!
I believe in God The HEALER!

God with Us - ADVOCATE

Let us look at the word "ADVOCATE". An ADVOCATE is a person who pleads for or in behalf of another, an intercessor.

Jesus says in John 14:16 (Amplified) -
And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, and Standby), that He may remain with you forever

Part of being an ADVOCATE is counseling, and I do not know that much about the judicial system. So I did some research. And we have a privilege here in America called "The Right to Counsel" which allows for a defendant to be assisted by counsel (i.e. lawyers), and if he cannot afford his own lawyer, requiring that the government should appoint one for him, or pay his legal expenses.

Now, you may be wondering what that has to do with anything Godly, but actually it has alot to do with it. God gave us a "Right to Counsel". He knew we could not afford it, and he knew we would need it. So he made a way, that when Jesus left this earth we would still have an ADVOCATE, a Counselor, a Helper, an Advicers.

Be on guard, cause we have an adversary, the Devil, who is walking around trying to destroy us. It is important that we are constantly listening to the Holy Ghost, our ADVOCATE, to be aware of the tricks that are trying to bring destruction in our life. Seek, his guidance, his councel, his advice! He is our Intercessor, and He is fighting for us!

God with Us - SAVIOR

A Singer - Sings
A Preacher - Preaches
A Teacher - Teaches
A Driver - Drives
A Builder - Builds
A Writter - Writes
Seems simple enough right!?! It is, and the best part is The Savior - Saves!
If you look it up in the dicitionary - it tells you the difference between a savior and Savior. That capital letter means something! It means "a title of God" "who saves, rescues, or delivers"
We need to realize who we are - we are sinners and we are in need of THE SAVIOR!

Jesus was born the Savior. We read in Luke 2:11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. He didn't become it, He already was it!

Jesus lived as the Savior. So many passages in the Bible, I could write forever, but I love the story of the woman at the well (John 4). Jesus explains to her that He is the Savior and he has come for everyone. No matter their background, the color of their skin, their age, He's the SAVIOUR for all!

Jesus died as the Savior. He has been beaten, mocked, made fun of, he has a crown of thornes in his head, he has been stripped of everything, he is bleeding, hanging on a cross, and yet we read in Luke 23 that he tells the sinner hanging on a cross beside Him, "Today you will be with me in paradise". In his final moments, He saves!

And I am so glad the story doesn't end there . . .
Jesus rose as Savior. In Luke 24 it tells how the women were coming to the tomb with the spices for his burial place, but when they got there the angel tells them HE HAS RISEN!!! The SAVIOR is ALIVE! The grave couldn't hold Him. Satan didn't win. He holds the keys of death, hell, and the grave! My SAVIOR Lives!

And yes, it gets even better . . .
Jesus is coming again as the Savior. Get your life in order because He is coming for those who are ready. Recognize you need a SAVIOR!

Jude 1:24-25 NLT
Now all glory to God, who is able to keep you from falling away and will bring you with great joy into his glorious presence without a single fault.
All glory to him who alone is God, our Savior through Jesus Christ our Lord. All glory, majesty, power, and authority are his before all time, and in the present, and beyond all time! Amen.

God with Us - CREATOR

I have started a series titled "God with Us". God has soooo many different names, that there is no way I could cover them all. You know I realize I have alot of names, to my nieces and nephews, I am Auntie Nae Nae, my brother-in-law on occasion still calls me Little Nae Nae, I used to be called Baby Nae, some kids used to tease me and call me ShanayNay, those at the church call me Pastor Danae, my mother when I was in big trouble called me Danae Louise Beal!, as a teenager they used to call me DUH - nae, when I got married Anthony called me the Wifey, when I worked for the school district I was Mrs. Daria, it is funny how all those names describe me to different people. God has sooooo many names, and He is all of them, all the time, to ALL people, that is Incredible! Over the next couple weeks, I will try to discuss a couple, starting with the beginning, God the CREATOR!
At the very beginning of the Bible - the first verse it says "In the beginning God created". God Created!!!! It is mind-boggling to think that God just spoke and life as we know it existed. He said a word and the sun came into orbit, he just said a word, and the fish knew to swim, and the birds knew to fly! He spoke and turned Chaos into Cosmos. The same creative power of God wants to work today in all of out lives! Why did God create? Because He was the CREATOR! and if we believe God's word, we should know God doesn't change, if he was the CREATOR He IS the CREATOR! He wants to create something wonderful out of the chaos in your life. If you love God, surrender to Him and let Him create, let Him mold you and make you, let Him rid you of the chaos, let Him bring structure and order!
Give Him your ashes, and let Him create beauty
Give Him your tears, and let Him create joy
Give Him your spirit of heaviness, and let Him create a garment of praise
Give Him your all, and let Him create what He wants, because you will NEVER know what you can become, what you can accomplish, or what you can achieve, until you put yourself in the hands of GOD - your CREATOR!

BLESS – PRAISE – MAGNIFY – BOAST – EXALT

11:32 AM by Contact Information 0 comments

We were created to make God's Praise Glorious!!! And I don't know about anyone else, but for me, I don't want any rocks crying out in my place. Here is a simple scripture you probaly have read several times:

I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
My soul shall make her boast in the LORD: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad. magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together. Psalm 34:1-3

In this passage of scripture it tells us to

1. BLESS the Lord at all times
So we are suppose to bless, extol Him as holy, all the time. On the good days, on the bad days, in the valley, on the mountain, when everyone is for us, or everyone has turned against us . . .BLESS THE LORD!

2. His PRAISE shall sontinually be in my mouth
This means from the time we wake up, til we lay our head to rest, we are to PRAISE the Lord. PRAISE is an act of worship, expressing admiration by song. Even if you are like me and your voice is kinda . . . how should I put it . . ."BAD", God still wants to hear it, and between here and Heaven it changes sounds :)

3. MAGNIFY the Lord with me
This is my favorite part, MAGNIFY, to increase the 'apparent' size of. When you have a magnify glass, it doesn't actual change the size of the object, but it changes the way you see it - you see it bigger, you see it's details, it becomes your focal point. Same goes for MAGNIFYING God, we don't change who God is - He is the same yesterday, today, and forever, but we change the way we look at Him. He begins to look bigger, and everything else in life becomes smaller, because He becomes our focal point, and we begin to notice the intricate details (we often over looked) of who God really is!

4. My soul shall make her BOAST in the Lord
When you BOAST, you are speaking with expressive pride about that person or thing. It is time we begin to BOAST about the good things that God has done. When it comes to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, there is alot to be spoken and it should always be done in expressive pride, because I am proud of what the Lord has done in me, for me, and through me!

5. Let us EXALT His name together
The word Exalt means to raise in rank, honor, power, character, quality, to elevate. When we EXALT God we are not changing his rank in who He is, we are changing our placement in our life. When we EXALT God we put Him at His rightful place in our life. He should be EXALTED above anything and everything in your life, because there is nothing that compares to him.

Let's take this verse, and let's truly live the way God designed us to live. Let us BLESS – PRAISE – MAGNIFY – BOAST – EXALT the Lord together!

Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Jesus

Sunday, July 11, 2010 1:38 PM by Contact Information 0 comments
We can take a look at the Declaration of Independence and we all know the quote "Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness" but the problem is happiness is temporary. Jesus lasts forever, He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. We should be in a relentless pursuit after Jesus. There were 56 Brave men who signed the Declaration, and they paid a great price, some were captured and tortured, some had their homes burned to the ground, others suffered many other tragedies. Pursuing after something great may have hardships, but it's worth it! I would like to look at the culture in Biblical times after the Levitical reign. Children would go and spend 5 years studying the Torah. From age 5-10 they would memorize the Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy. Then they would go back to their family and begin working in the family business, but the best of the best would continue in their studies, and their pursuit for the things of the God. After their studies and memorization of the rest of the Hebrew scriptures, these highly educated people around the age of 14 would go back and follow in the family trait. Very few people, the best of the best of the best, would then go to the final stage of education and they would look for a Rabbi who they wanted to be like and ask if they could be his disciple, he would then quiz them, and then either tell them sorry, you need to return your family, or if he thought he could do what he does he would say Follow Me! Then, they would take the "yoke" of the Rabbi upon themselves and leave all they know to follow the Rabbi. That's why when we read in Matthew 10 when Jesus starts his ministry and calls the fishermen to be His disciples, it was a great shock. These men were the ones who were rejected, the not good enoughs, but Jesus walks by and says I think you are good enough, come follow me. They immediately drop what they are doing, leave the only secure thing they have, their family, their job, to pursue after Jesus. These men changed history long before the 56 men who signed the Declaration. Its time we make history again, it's time we drop the things we have going on and pursue after Jesus with everything we have, we need to give our lives to the pursuit of Jesus.

FASTING

I think that Christians need to re-education themselves on what FASTING means. FASTING is not just for the Pastors, or Deacons, or the worship leaders, but rather it is for every believer.
FASTING is not to lose weight, or for medical reasons, or to make yourself look "super spiritual", but is a sacrifice/offering unto the Lord. FASTING is so much more than what the average person thinks it is. FASTING is desiring the things of the Spirit MORE than the things of the Flesh. For the Bible says those who hunger and thirst for righteousness will be filled. FASTING is powerful! When you get serious with wanting the things of God, when you desire what God's got for you more than anything else, when you are HUNGRY for Revival, you will change some things around in your life. We are to seek FIRST the Kingdom of God, and then all these other things will be added unto us. It is time we decide what is the most important to us - it is time we FAST! In the Bible we read time and time again how food (physical needs) get in the way of blessings, miracles, healing, etc. Look at the start of mankind, Adam and Eve, they allowed their fleshly desires get in the way of God's plan for their lives, and for the lives of generations to come. We can use Jacob and Esau as an example, and how a bowl of soup changed the courses of their lives forever - all because Esau could not control his fleshly needs/desires, he gave up a life of blessings. Also, there are those who left us amazing examples, those who fasted, those who sacrificed, and those who saw the mighty acts of God! Esther called for a 3-day fast that saved her people. Hannah was barren and she wept and "did not eat" and God saw her sacrifice and she became pregnant with Samuel. Daniel and a few others with him, did a partial fast for 21 days, eating only vegetables and water, but God honored it and answered their prayers. Nehemiah, David, Joshua, and many many others in the Bible fasted, and when they did something supernatural took place because God honors that act of worship. Even Jesus himself fasted for 40 days! The disciples went out and were doing the work of the Lord, and they tried to cast out demons-and they couldn't do it-when they asked Jesus what was wrong, He told them that this can come forth by nothing but prayer and fasting. FASTING is the key! When you FAST your Spirit becomes so sensitive to the things of God. Whether you need a healing, if it's a financial need, if there is a lost loved one in need of salvation, if there is a demonic spirit, whatever you are in need of it can happen when you FAST!!!
